I'm really not much of a breakfast eater and just eat it for fuel and to keep from being hungry till something better comes along, typically eggs, oatmeal, and cold cereal. Same goes for the pb&j sandwiches and snacks we pack up each day, ick! Today started out cool with a fine mist. We went through the towns of Wimberly, where we stopped for coffee, a cute town with lots of shops, continued on to Kyle where we had a sag stop, ate the pb&j and other snacks and caught up with others. Shortly after the sag stop, on a busy, bumpy stretch of road, we came across a situation.

She wanted pics!
A bike situation. Our buddy Pat from Madison was sitting on the side of the road, and there were several cars stopped in the vicinity. She'd lost control of her bike on the bumpy road and fallen. The people from the cars got her and her bike to the side of the road and called the sag and 911. May and I were the next to arrive and did what we could, mostly helped get her and her bike sent off. We were all saddened to hear that she did break a bone and will be flying home tomorrow. It certainly won't be the same without her. The road and terrain flattened and we passed many fields of corn and wheat, I think. Later we passed through Lockhart which was a nice old town with many nice homes and shops and a DQ where the sag was waiting. At 60 mi. I left May to wait for Julie who wanted to ride the whole day and make it into her first century. I think they arrived at the hotel at 7:40 and rode around till just now (about 9) when she finished. We'll be referring to her as Saint May!
Julie and May: after 91 mi., before 100!
