Today was a pleasant surprise as it was overcast and comfortable temperatures all day. The chip seal varied a bit and was not as bad as some we've had, the wind was not bad and we even had a tail wind the last 20 mi.
Although we are quite a distance from the Mexican Border, we are still seeing quite a few Border Patrol officers.

We arrived into this tiny town of 700+ and went for lunch at the cafe where we met the owner and many locals.
Because of problems at the motel, four of us are staying in a house down the road which is quite nice with a large living area and kitchen. I cooked coffee for us!
