Wind catches our attention when it is a cross or headwind and that's exactly what we had. It was mostly highway riding with not too many 'terrain features' (hills), on chip and seal road surface for most of the day. Chip & seal is such a coarse surface that it slows us down quite a bit and really shakes us and our bikes, it has become a new enemy. May had a slow leaking tube that finally had to be changed along the highway about 8 mi. from the hotel.
